The Arctander Chair

Better known as The Clam Chair, designed by Philip Arctander in 1944.  In 2016, Paustian put the chair back into production in collaboration with Arctander's granddaughter, Sophie Arctander Paustian.  With its light expression, soft, padded form and rounded legs, the "Clam Chair" has become a point of reference in the field of international furniture design.  The body is a steel frame with casted PUR foam, upholstered in sheepskin. The legs and armrests are solid oak.  Also available in ash or walnut, with choice of fabrics, leathers and sheepskin.  $5995.
